 Abstract
In supply networks weak and strong power relationships between players exist. Past research proved that each square has its own various (information and power) patterns. Nevertheless, the coherence between the contributions of patterns to value creation in supply networks is not clearly stated.

Therefore the portfolio theory shall be applied to identify important patterns and propose necessary adjustments of patterns for the different power relationships to maximize value creation in supply networks.

The possibility to enrich the thesis with originality and unique ideas is given.

Stimulus for the student: Publication as co-author in case of very good quality; Enrichment of supply / value chain research; Methodological knowledge about portfolio theory and its contribution to value creation in supply networks
